Rita Reiser - Renewable Choice Energy

"Renewable Energy and the Renewable Energy Credit (REC)"

 

Did you know that green power is available for every LEED project regardless of its location or its design? This presentation will include a brief explanation of renewable energy (on and off-site) vs. fossil fuel generation and will explore the forces behind the renewable energy credit mechanism and its efficiancy in driving new renewable energy capacity.  The relative cost and environmental impact for the Green Power Credit will be discussed and examples of projects that use green power will be shown.
